The resort is centered around the pool area. There are 3 condo buildings and a new admin building that is currently under construction. Although this picture was taken in the off season (October), note how quiet it is even in the middle of the afternoon. Only one person beside the pool this afternoon.
Surrounding the pool are plenty of loungers to read a book and maybe even drink a rum punch. Speaking of rum punch, most Monday nights the resort hosts a free rum punch night by the pool, and they make em’ strong!
It is a small resort, but they do offer something to keep you entertained each day. Bingo, exercise in the pool, movie night, art and even a shuttle van to the grocery store so you can stock up the kitchen in your condo. More on the kitchen later. The office has books you can borrow and the office staff will arrange any island excursions you might be interested in like stingray city for example. They know which tours offer the best value and experience, and which to avoid.
Along one side of the pool is a new building still under construction with a covered area. There are tables, shuffleboard and ping pong. I personally feel the new building is a bit overwhelming for the area, but it will add a new office, gym and short term accommodations.
On the other side of the pool are more tables with plenty of shade to hide out from the blazing hot Caribbean sun. There are small waterfalls that flow into the pool and a small hot tub. There is also a cooking cabana with two BBQ’s. Cooking your own meals at the resort can be a real money saver on this notoriously expensive island.
Conveniently, chickens hang out right near the BBQ’s. There are also lizards, and birds that call the area around the pool home.
At night, the pool area is well lit with various colors and well thought out accent lighting. Quiet time is after 10pm but as long as you are respectful of other guests, they won’t stop you from enjoy the pool into the night.
Surrounding the pool area are lush tropical gardens that are well kept. There are pathways that let you easily get around the resort. Take a moment to stop and smell the flowers.
If your unit is on the ground floor, the patio has a door that connects to the pathway system around the pool. This makes for quick access to the condo if you need to return to refill your rum punch.
What about the location? The resort is right off the main road on Seven Mile Beach, West Bay Road. Within walking distance is:
– Downtown George town – 25min
– Kirks Super Market – 20min
– Camana Bay – 12min
– Closest restaurant is right across the road – 1min

– Car rental – 1min
Public buses also run along the road and come by every 4 minutes. There are no designated stops, just wave at the bus and it will pull over. Let the driver know when you want to get out.
The resort is not right on the famous Seven Mile Beach but is very close. A roughly 2 minute walk down this pathway and you are right on the water.
There is plenty of parking if you rent a car. Behind the parking lot is a full-size tennis court that can be lit up at night, but you have to pay a small fee for the electricity. I’m told they will add pickle ball markings, eventually. The second and third floor condos are accessed only via stairs. If you have mobility issues, be sure to request a ground floor unit.
Inside the condo is a full kitchen with everything you need to make meals. There is a washer and dryer for your use and a safe for your valuables. There is bar style seating at the large counter as well as the dining room table. The building is 30 years old but gets renovated periodically. Usually when a hurricane comes through and ruins everything.
The dining and living room area. The couch is a pull-out couch. I haven’t slept on it but have been told it isn’t all that comfortable. There are 3 flat panel TVs in the condo. One here and one in each bedroom. The walls between the units are concrete so we didn’t hear our neighbors through the walls once.
The living room leads out to a screened in patio that overlooks the pool. The perfect place to sit back, enjoy a beverage and the warm weather. Although there are very few biting bugs in the Cayman Islands, the screened in patio is ideal to not have to worry about being bitten at sunset or sunrise.
The guest bedroom has two double sized beds and a flat panel TV. There is a window that looks toward the ocean. It doesn’t have an ensuite but it is right beside the main bathroom which has a large, tiled shower.
Main bedroom with a king bed and another flat panel TV. It has a large window that looks over the pool.
Main bedroom ensuite bathroom. The floor and walls are all tiled, giving it a real Caribbean feel.
Lastly, a map of the condo, just to give you an idea of the layout.
